Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a membership cost?

Memberships are based on zip code (excluding senior citizen memberships which are $80 per quarter for all individuals ages 60 or over, regardless of zip).  Individuals in 20017, 20018, or 20002 pay $145 per quarter.  Individuals in all other zip codes pay $160 per quarter.  Each membership, excluding senior citizens, is charged a one time $75 initiation fee, as long as the membership is kept in good standing.  A lapse in membership will require a re-application of this fee.

What does this initiation fee include?

The initiation fee pays for the processing of your account, an ID and a parking permit.  As long as your membership is kept in good standing, this fee will only occur one time.  However, if a lapse should occur the following fee would apply:

0-3 month lapse: $25  4-6 month lapse:$50 over 6 months: $75

What does a full membership entail?

As a member you have full use of all of our facilities.  This includes the basketball court, tennis courts, pool, spa, walking track and fitness area.  We have a limited supply of both basketball and tennis equipment for you to check out if you do not have your own.  A complimentary towel and daily locker are issued to you during your work out session.  Additionally, a majority of our classes are free for members.  All you have to do is register!

How do I take one of the fitness classes I have seen and heard about?  Is there an extra fee for classes?

All members (and non-members) must register for each class they are interested in attending.  Registration is required to ensure classes are not overbooked in our limited Aerobics Room.  Participants must re-register for classes every quarter for this reason.  Classes are open to members and non-members.  A list of classes, applicable fees and the registration form may be found at the membership office.

What if someone else in my household would like to become a member?  Is there a family discount?

There is a family discount.  A primary account holder may have up to two(2) additional member on their family membership for a cost of $105 per quarter each.  Only the primary account holder pays the initiation fee.  Proof of address is required to obtain the family discount.

I have teenagers, can they join the gym too?

The Trinity Center is only available for regular use by individuals 18 years or older. However, on Saturdays and Sundays family members under the age of 18 may come and use the pool or the basketball court free of charge between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Bringing my workout clothes to and from the gym is a hassle.  Do you rent lockers?

Long lockers are available for rent on a first-come, first-serve basis for $45 per quarter.  If there are no long lockers available for rent you may opt to rent a short locker at the same rental rate.  We do utilize a waiting list to ensure interested individuals are contacted once a locker becomes available for rent.

Do you have personal trainers available to help structure my workout plan?

We currently have two part-time personal trainers.  An hour sessions is $40 and the session is scheduled between you and the personal trainers at your convenience.  For those new to working out, trainers are a great way to learn how to properly use the gym equipment and to structure a workout plan that will suit your fitness goals.  For those already familiar with the equipment, trainers can develop and re-shape your current workout to help you achieve the goals you have been striving for.

I have lost my ID.   Do I have to get another one?

For security and membership tracking purposes, all members of the gym must have a valid Trinity Center issued ID.  If you card is lost, a new one will be printed for you.  The replacement fee is $20.

I accidentally lost my locker key.  What do I do?

A replacement locker key fee of $20 is charged for all lost locker keys, regardless if it is a rented locker or daily use locker.  Hold onto your locker key to prevent this added expense.
