Holiday Crime Prevention & Awareness

With the holiday season upon us we want to remind you that both nationally and historically it is during this time of year that crime dramatically increases.  Consistent with this phenomenon, information provided by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) shows a steady increase of crime in the neighboring area.  Specifically, we are seeing an increase in the following activity:  stolen autos, thefts from autos, robberies and burglaries.  

Most crimes are random rather than calculated and it is long established and widely recognized that crime occur when opportunity exists.  Essentially, this means that most crimes occur when we become careless or complacent.  With this in mind, we are asking all members of the Trinity  community to commit to removing and minimizing the opportunities for crime to occur on and near our campus.  There are numerous steps that we can take to safeguard against crime. Applying the safety and security measures found at the following links will go a long way in reducing your victim profile:
