Summer 2006 TRINITY Magazine
Trinity's Commencement, Reunion, and welcoming of the largest freshman class in more than 30 years!
As this issue goes to press, Trinity is starting the fall semester with the largest freshman class in more than 35 years. With nearly 200 first-year students, and a large group of transfer students, Trinity is greeting 229 new students in the College of Arts and Sciences – a dramatic 54% increase over last year. Trinity received more than 700 applications this year – a number that has not been reached since the 1960s.
Increased visibility, new programs, facilities upgrades (especially the Trinity Center), strong community partnerships and the accomplishments of graduates have created a great “buzz” about Trinity. Additionally, Trinity has a strong and effective Admissions team, under the leadership of director Renee Orlick, which worked tirelessly to recruit the large class. Admissions is implementing new recruitment strategies, including an array of online tools to reach the new generation of students effectively. Look for the President’s Newsletter and the fall issue of the Trinity magazine for more news about the largest freshman class in decades – the Green Class of 2010.
